Sound Design Show Reel

Back

This is my somewhat limited showreel, which I am planning on expanding. Uploading to YouTube caused the audio to be slightly out of sync with the video (probably via downsampling) so some parts have less impact than they should. 1) Vertov - This is a segment from a MA sound design project I did. The idea here was to build the tension via unusual means, like Walter Murch's work in The Godfather. 2) BBC Sound Design Competition - this is a segment from my entry into this competition, with added imagery. Conceptually the idea was to contrast the nightmarish, surreal beginning with the real world. My entry was "highly regarded". 3) Snow - this is a small experimental project I did at home, trying out video (filming/processing/editing) as well as sound design. 4) Phosphorous - this is a segment from my edit of a recording of a string quarted by Ian Wilson as part of a project for my BSc degree. I got very good marks for this work. I'm just starting into the sound design field but if you like what you see please feel free to message me or leave comments.
