70s shirtless dukes of hazzard
BackIn other shows of the 70s, leading men only occasionally took their shirts off. But in DUKES OF HAZZARD (79-85), shirtlessness was a regular feature - and undoubtedly part of the appeal. Earlier in the decade, Charlie's Angels had promised angels in bikinis in every episode. The Duke Boys were the male equivalent. In roughly half the eps, a scene was contrived to allow the extremely hunky farmboys Luke and Bo Duke, played by Tom Wopat and John Schneider, to go shirtless. Both are accomplished actors, but here it was all about showing it off for the viewers. Here are some typical shirtless scenes.
