Dirt Sledding
BackWhat do you get when you mix 5 bored Marines, a couple helicopter cargo rollers, a tug seat, a big piece of plywood with a dry lake? The max speed we hit that day was 85 mph, the car just would not go any faster dragging the sled. We had plans to return with a more powerful car, but we never did go back. The sled got destroyed when I hit a mud rut on the lake surface at 80 mph heading home and launched the truck. The sled flew out of the back and was toast. Shot at El Mirage Dry Lake, California sometime in 1992.
