THE SENDER (1982) opening five minutes
BackThe opening five minutes of the vastly underrated psychological horror film The Sender, starring Zeljko Ivanek and Shirley Knight. The film tells the tale of an anonymous young man in a mental ward who has the supernatural ability to control reality with the power of his mind, keeping the audience in suspense as to whether what they're watching is real or coming from his head. The director, Roger Christian, went on to helm the infamous Battlefield Earth, but don't let that put you off; this was his first film, and he shows enormous promise here. The film has yet to be released on DVD by Paramount - hopefully they will correct this at some future date. Clip copyright of Paramount Pictures.
