BackDigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv マイクロマウス競技は、小型の移動ロボットが迷路を走り抜ける速さと知能を競う競技です。競技に出場するロボットをマイクロマウスと呼んでいます。 日本で競技が始まったのは1980年。ロボット競技としては長い歴史を持っており、毎年常に最先端の技術を競う場となっています。 2009年秋には、従来の半分のサイズコースによる新たなマイクロマウス競技会が始まる。 それにあわせて、株式会社アールティは、来年（2008年）6月にハーフサイズマイクロマウスキット「ピーコ」を発売する。 約5cm立方の機体にロボットテクノロジーが凝縮されており、USB接続、microSDカードリーダーを標準で搭載している。また、分離・交換が可能な4つのピースによって構成されているため、容易にオプション基盤への換装や自作基盤の取り付けが可能。 小型化と高性能化を両立した機体で、広大な迷路を高速で駆け抜ける。
