HI-STANDARD summer of love & maximum overdrive MONTREAL 1996
Backhttp://www.myspace.com/punkempire This was the SNO JAM festival. 2 Nights with 10 bands in march of 1996. It was Hi-Standard's first time in Montreal. We musically already knew them because of Fat Wreck's SURVIVAL OF THE FATTEST compilation. We didn't know much about em except their 1st album. We thought they rocked for a Japanese band and we liked their english accent because people from Quebec also have english accents. They just sounded funny and had alot of charm. But on stage, they rocked within SECONDS ! I am certain most kids at this show barely knew who HI-STANDARD were but it only took 10 seconds for the kids to go crazy.
