The average Israeli does not like Qassam rockets hitting his towns from gangs of theocrats with stated eradicationist intentions--especially after we have withdrawn from that area. I did not like Katyusha hitting my favourite aunt's apartment building in Haifa in 2006, so I rushed home from New York and came back to reserve duty. What do you think? There is cause and there is response.

So tell me, are you an anarchist? By that I am specifically asking are you always opposed to any nation-state and desire one world with no borders anywhere? Because if you convince me that is the case, then I accept your critique of Zionism as making distinctions between Jews and nonJews(I don't agree, but I accept). But I think you champion Palestinian Arab nationalism--no? Don't you see this as hypocricy? You support the dismantling of the one Jewish state in favoour of a 23d Arab state.

I might be willing to concede that Israel may have violated intn'l law solely in the case of Golan Heights (which was almost universally recognised as sovereign Syrian territory prior to 1967)-but Israel still has not formally annexed it-although by imposing Israeli law on it, it has de facto annexed it. We discussed the nuance before of de facto annexation-I am not sure you were paying attention. Technically speaking, West Bank is not occupied but "disputed"-as Jordan had illegally annexed it.

I do not have to give you examples of anti-Zionist propaganda, all you have to do is move your mouse up the page and look at all the comments you have made painting us as bogeyman. I on the contrary have never said anything claiming we are always lightness and sweet, but you state a lot of rubbish either from ignorance or deliberate mendacities. I can repeat all the rubbish you state and dissect it at length. Of course then you will retort at me that I am "obsessive".

And the wall? I certainly do defend the Wall--it is keeping my family safe. Terror bombings killing innocent civilians are down 95%--that is because of the security barrier that you denounce. The suicide bombings don't become less because of Arab goodwill. Do you know one of the groups in Israel that heavily oppose the barrier? Many of the West Bank settlers. Because they don't want any border in the Land of Israel.

There is no starvation of Gazans. They have an active tunneling network, giving them almost everything they want, Israel always permitted humanitarian assistance through. It was unfortunate that a several hundred Lebanese civilians were killed as a result of hostilities with us, but remember Hezbollah initiated attacks on us, which killed many of our civilians, Arab as well Jewish. Katyushas fell on my city, Haifa,in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood. I saw the war as a soldier & civilian.

In fact almost always warfare entails occupation of enemy territory by one belligerent party. Now, maybe international law should outlaw warfare entirely, that would be so nice (like I say, they tried this after WW 1) but it never happens. But to outlaw military occupation in war in essence means to outlaw war. But really, the fac ts are not on your side. You can look this up, you might be smart enough.

No. It is not illegal to occupy territory as a consequence of war. There are specific rules and regulation governing how an occupying power must conduct itself-but you make incorrect statement. Moreover, in the case of WB & Gaza-preceding Israeli presence in this area, there was no sovereign nation internationally recogised as legally controlling it. The only areas that Israel took belonging to a sovereign nation were Sinai (returned to Egypt in 1982) and Golan (which Israel still holds).

It is illegal by international law for a state to acquire land via and occupy it just as Israel did in 1967 and continues to do today. This is not upm for dispute. This is a hard fact.

The average Israeli also defends the starvation of the Gazans, the mass murder of the Lebanese two summers ago, the building of the Wall in occupied territories, and so on. Is this not so? Were it not, your govt couldn't get away with such heinous behavior
